Keep draft beer fresh and carbonated for two weeks with GrowlerWerks’ pressurized growler, the uKeg.

The engineering wonder was created by Portland craft beer-lovers who discovered a solution that prevents air from mixing with the beer, maintaining perfect carbonation throughout the entire usage.

“I would say that my love of craft beer started by watching my father homebrew when I was a kid,” said Brian Sonnichsen, one of the founders of GrowlerWerks. “Eventually, he gave me his equipment and I started brewing myself. That passion grew into me being one of the founders of GrowlerWerks.”

The uKeg is created with an easy-to-use regular cap and a low-cost, food-grade C02 cartridge attached to a vacuum-insulated, stainless-steel keg. A sight glass shows the contents of your keg and how much beer is left. A dispenser tap allows you to pour a cold one any time without removing the cap and an easy-read pressure gauge displays the growler’s interior pressure.

Sturdy but still small, it can handle going to and from your favorite sporting and social events, but can still fit into the refrigerator. Plus, the stylish design means it won’t be an eyesore at your next function.

The uKeg comes in several different sizes, including a half-gallon and full-gallon size. Designs range as well, and you can choose from stainless steel, black chrome or copper-plated. Each comes with two C02 cartridges. The half-gallon version starts at $150 and the full-gallon at $200. Growler accessories are also available, including bar mats and extra C02 cartridges.
