For the first time, the Grand Hyatt brand makes its way to Utah with the new Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, anticipated to open in late 2024.
The property will sit within the expanded Deer Valley Resort as the first luxury property within it. Deer Valley Resort provides a range of winter and summer activities, and the much-anticipated expansion will more than double the resort’s skiable terrain, with 16 new lifts and 10 gondolas, for access to more than 235 ski runs across 10 mountains.
The resort also encompasses restaurants, shopping and one of the world’s largest ski beaches. All the while, the resort is just a short drive from Park City, as well as Salt Lake City International Airport.
When it opens, the new Grand Hyatt property will offer nearly 400 guestrooms, plus multiple restaurant options, a heated year-round pool, outdoor event space, après ski bar and more.
“Grand Hyatt Deer Valley has been years in the making and will be the cornerstone of our new village at Deer Valley Resort. We have meticulously designed a hotel offering luxurious finishes and best-in-class amenities to appeal to guests and their families seeking a stay in the mountains. In addition, Grand Hyatt Deer Valley will be one of the nation’s only conference facilities located in a beautiful and easily accessible ski destination — a combination that is nearly unheard of within the industry,” said Gary Barnett, founder and chairman, Extell Development Company, the property’s developer.
