Available at the fingertips and keyboards of anyone who wants to learn more about the estimated 1.5 million items stored in Israel’s many museums is a wealth of knowledge about its vast holdings. Visitors of the National Portal can discover information about the country’s art, Judaica, history, archeology, world cultures, nature and science as well as view world-renowned items and pieces available to the public for the first time.
Unique features of the portal include 360-degree views of 3D items; comparison of items retrieved from different collections and museums; PDF output; sharing capabilities; and geographic orientation.
The portal offers the general public an interactive approach to three primary sections, including museums, items and exhibitions, free of charge.
