Forget the Seven Wonders of the World. Travel Nevada recently presented Nevada’s Seven Weirdest Wonders for seven spots travelers will have to see to believe. What’s on the list — and what you should add to your upcoming Nevada travel itinerary?
1. The Republic of Molossia
This six-acre plot of land is considered an official, independent, sovereign country, with its own laws and currency. Travel there just to say you did it and get the passport stamp (yes, it’s legit) to match.
This outdoor art installation is considered the largest outdoor car exhibit in the United States. It consists of more than 40 automobiles, each covered in graffiti and scattered around the landscape, leaving visitors free to wander about and explore.
Don’t visit this Nevada landmark if you’re not keen on clowns. This motel features the largest private collection of clown-themed memorabilia, as well as a haunted cemetery.

Another unique art experience, this attraction is more of an installation than a museum, with its seven structures. Whatever you call it, you can easily spend a good chunk of time here taking everything in as you explore at will.
5. Garnet Hill
An extinct volcano filled this area with garnets approximately 40 million years ago. Now, travelers flock to the recreational site to walk the desert while keeping their eyes peeled for the semi-precious gemstones.
The Alien Research Center acts as the gateway to the Extraterrestrial Highway. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in the paranormal or any traveler who has Area 51 on their Nevada must-see list.
Colorful rocks surround this 12-foot geyser, which sits on Historic Fly Ranch. While you’re there to check out the geyser, take a short nature walk to see two more geysers on the property, as well as the ecosystems the geysers help make possible.
