Experience natural beauty and local cuisine between challenging yoga practices, live music and more during New Zealand’s world-class Wanderlust Festival.
From Feb. 2–5, yogis and inner peace seekers of all levels flock to Wairakei Resort in Great Lake Taupo, New Zealand, for a four-day retreat. Wanderlust focuses on natural living, yoga, adventure, relaxation and more.
Whether a large outdoor yoga class among hundreds or a small intimate session, there is a practice for every level. Each yoga class is accompanied by a live musical component, such as a musician or DJ.
The festival is spread through the Wairakei Resort, allowing guests to roam freely. Experts in yoga and meditation lead classes daily and are a main draw to the festival, but there are plenty of alternative activities to enjoy.
Festivalgoers can explore the breathtaking landscape of Great Lake Taupo with paddle boarding, bungee jumping, hiking, biking and horseback riding.
Wanderlust strives for a well-balanced experience from the musical events, exercise and cuisine. There will be healthy fare available throughout the festival, all locally sourced and seasonal.
After a long yoga session, hike or swim, guests can pop into a guest speaker session and listen to experts in their field. Wanderlust is comprised of health and wellness activities that extend beyond just yoga, creating a unique, community-type festival.
