When it comes to daily medications and the basics such as pain relievers and digestive aids, most travelers know what to include on their packing list for trips, but adding an emergency medical kit to this list may come in handy when visiting more remote areas where pharmacies could be miles away. Here are a few items to include in your emergency medical kit.
Aspirin
Whether this is a daily medication for you or not, it can be a helpful tool in preventing blood clots before and after spending long hours on planes.
Motion Sickness Remedies
If you anticipate rocky roads, sharp turns or boat travel during your trip, be sure to pack motion sickness remedies like Dramamine, patches, wrist bands or natural solutions like ginger to ward off wooziness and keep you steady.
Immunity Defense
Being trapped in a plane for hours upon hours with dozens of strangers can expose you to some pretty gross germs. Protect yourself with hand sanitizer (when hand washing isn’t possible), Airborne or another Vitamin C concoction, zinc tablets or echinacea to defend yourself and ward off illness.
Adhesive Bandages
Excessive walking is a common practice when traveling and exploring, and as a result, your feet can take a beating. Arm yourself with plenty of adhesive bandages to protect your heels from blisters.
