Pumpkins and spooks aren’t the only focus for fall festivals around the country this season. You can also find a fair number of art festivals occurring throughout the month of October. Here are just a few to consider attending:
This indoor daily “festival” runs all the way through Oct. 22 in Fallbrook, California, highlighting all things glass artwork. Check out artists on display and pick up a few early holiday gifts, whether you’re shopping for tumblers, jewelry, vases or anything else. If it’s made from glass, you’ll likely find it here.

In Beverly Hills, October weekends bring the artSHOW to Beverly Gardens Park. Multiple street blocks welcome more than 200 artists from around the country and world, food trucks and more. The festival is family-friendly and free. Features include a wine and beer garden, art demonstrations, children’s activities and other diversions.

On the other side of the country, the SHINE Mural Festival in St. Petersburg, Florida, runs Oct. 13–22. Check out the city’s existing murals, plus more than a dozen new ones. This festival is the first in the world to offer an accessible audio tour with technology that instantly connects mural viewers with content.
