Whipped Moisturizers

The latest trend on the beauty market is whipped moisturizer. This product is ideal if you are looking for a lightweight, delicate moisturizer that hydrates in a bold way. The idea behind whipping the moisturizer is to make it thin enough for the skin to absorb quickly. A cream is not much help if it is so heavy most of it remains on the surface layer of your skin. If it is easily absorbed, the product is also ideal for a larger variety of skin types, such as dry, oily and combination. There are a lot of choices when it comes to this product.

Prices range $20–60 depending on how much of an investment you want to make. As usual, if you are curious about a product more than $20, it is highly recommended to get a free sample before investing in something your skin is prone to rebel against.

The brands at the higher end include Drunk Elephant’s Lala Retro Whipped Cream. This cream caters specifically to elasticity issues. Its use of plantain extract reinforces the moisture barrier for all skin types. Another great brand is Josie Maran’s Whipped Argan Oil Face Butter. This cream is good for dry and sensitive skin, especially if you are a proponent of Argan oil in general.

In the more affordable bracket of the $30 or less are a variety of Olay products. Olay’s Luminous Moisturizer contains an assortment of Vitamin B complexes and green tea, great for sensitive skin.
