For that most proper of daytime activities, look no further than afternoon tea service at a luxury city hotspot. Raise your pinky with a twist at the L’Ermitage Beverly Hills with its Wicked Tea service at LIVELLO, the on-site hotel restaurant. All of the offerings have a boozy edge, with alcohol-infused sweet and savory treats from Chef Roger Thomas and tea-based cocktails by mixologist Michael Arballo.
Afternoon tea is a bit naughtier with the liquor-infused menu available daily through June from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $75 per person, and includes one Champagne cocktail or one hot tea per person.
The menu includes a blend of wickedly delicious sweets and savories paired with tea-infused Champagne cocktails. Cranberry, gin and orange scones or bacon and bourbon scones can be paired with other sweets, such as cognac and caramel chocolate brownies, passion fruit liquor and chocolate macarons and Calvados apple cider with warm cinnamon beignets. Savory options include smoked salmon with dill on Fernet Branca pumpernickel buns; egg salad with elderflower liqueur and lemon aioli on a soft Pullman loaf; and Armagnac, leeks and mushroom gratin. One cocktail option blends hibiscus and chamomile with Champagne, or sample the Strawberry Tea Pimm’s Cup.
Try out this decidedly adult version of a grown-up afternoon activity!
