This fall, Ireland’s 5-star Ashford Castle invites families to wizard school. The 13th-century castle is the perfect location for the wizard experience with its winding passageways, secret alcoves and lush gardens.
The two-night experience kicks off with a treasure hunt for the entire family. Guests then visit Dingle, Ashford Castle’s resident owl. Enjoy an afternoon paint class, then a dinner for the kids followed by a screening of Harry Potter in the castle’s brand-new screening room. Parents are treated to a luxurious five-course dinner in the property’s George V Dining Room. The second day of the program starts with a treasure hunt in the castle’s garden. Cooking, witchcraft and wizardry classes follow and the evening concludes with a kid’s dinner, a movie screening and an adult dinner.
The program is available at Halloween and Thanksgiving. The two-night wizard deal is priced at $1,349, and includes deluxe family accommodations for two adults and two children under age 12. Complimentary activities at Ashford Castle include tennis, golf, billiards, self-guided walking tours and access to the solarium, steam room and indoor pool. Complimentary WiFI is available throughout the property.
