Start your day with breakfast at Dulin’s Café. The local favorite offers breakfast classics. Spend about $12. Dulin’s is closed on Monday. Go for a walk along the five-mile Columbia River Waterfront Renaissance Trail. The paved path offers stunning views of the waterfront with Mount Hood in the distance.
Vancouver’s reputation as a great beer city is evolving, with a wide selection of breweries and taprooms. Hop around to some breweries in a concentrated area. Trusty Brewing Company, Old Ivy Brewing & Taproom, Beerded Brothers Brewing and Loowit Brewing Company are all located within a few blocks of one another. While you’re there, have lunch at Old Ivy Brewing & Taproom. Dishes are made from scratch, using local and seasonal ingredients. Sandwiches start at $13 and bar snacks at $5.
Visit the Clark County Historical Society to learn more about the cultural history of Clark County and the Pacific Northwest. The museum is open Tuesday–Saturday. Adult admission costs $5. Have dinner at Eatery at The Grant House. Located in a historic mansion, the restaurant specializes in contemporary American cuisine, highlighting flavors of the Northwest. The drink menu includes an extensive whiskey list. Entrées start at $17.
