It’s about time the sunscreen market was turned on its head. Recent studies show chemicals in sunscreen are hormone disrupting, as well as bad for the environment. Hawai’i attempted to ban oxybenzone, a common sunscreen ingredient known to be an endocrine disrupter and coral reef bleaching chemical. Found in more than 3,500-plus sunscreens sold in the United States, scientists say it only takes one drop of oxybenzone in 6.5 Olympic-sized swimming pools’ worth of water to cause serious harm to coral reefs.

Enter All Good, a maker of organic skincare and sunscreen established in 2006. The company’s new line of sunscreens is free of oxybenzone and top rated by the Environmental Working Group. The sunscreens are made of zinc oxide, a formula that offers tried-and-true sun protection. The sunscreen is sweat- and waterproof for up to 80 minutes.

All Good uses only natural, organic ingredients that are non-GMO, petroleum free, non-nanoparticle, hypoallergenic and gluten free. They’re good for you and good for the environment. What’s more, they actually work, and they don’t carry a strong, off-putting smell. Even better, they rub in clear; zinc sunscreens have a reputation of staying white on your skin, but these products do not.

The company’s range of products includes spray, kid’s sunscreen, stick sunscreen and lip balm. The impressive array allows you to select the style of product you like best, or is best suited to your needs.
