The Quicksand Mat provides an easy solution to unwanted sand getting tracked in with your beach towel. By constructing a two-layer fabric out of high-density polyethylene, the Quicksand Mat has the ability to let sand fall through the top side, but prevents it from coming back up from the bottom, a quality demonstrated in the video below.
The two layers, along with gravity, provide enough resistance to let the sand particles push through from the bottom, which feels quite rough, though the sides are labeled to make sure you sit the right way.
