Top 5: Coffee Shops in Prague

While the Czech Republic and its beautiful capital city are well known around the world — rightfully so — for beer, you’d be remiss to neglect the iconic café culture. I asked Prague-based food photographers Jan and Sarah about some of their favorite coffee spots in the Prague 1 district, and if you’ve seen their Instagram, you know they have good taste.

Espresso lovers know firsthand making the perfect cup is an art form, and the baristas at EMA are nothing short of artists. The café is also popular for its lattes and tasty treats.

Onesip Coffee

As the name implies, Onesip Coffee is your quintessential espresso bar, serving perfectly made espresso shots meant to be enjoyed in a sip or two. This quaint little gem is situated in the heart of Old Town, offering homemade cakes and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

For a quick, health-conscious lunch, look no further than Sisters, where you’ll find fresh open-faced sandwiches, homemade baked goods and, of course, delicious coffee.

Urban Café

Unwind at Urban Café, conveniently located across from Bílá labuť station, and enjoy an expertly crafted coffee and great food in a contemporary space, complete with a plant wall and long communal tables for socializing.

Café Savoy is a must for coffee, history and architecture lovers. The elegant café boasts a warm wooden interior and Neo-Renaissance ceiling dating back to 1893. It’s also a restaurant, known for delicious breakfasts and gourmet Czech cuisine.
