Trends / Food & Drink

Situated in the East End of London, the Cereal Killer Café is the first cereal-themed café in the United Kingdom. Belfast identical twins Alan and Gary Keery came up with the idea of selling breakfast cereal when they fancied a bowl of cereal for lunch after experiencing a morning hangover.

The interior of the building, an old video store, is designed to reflect a retro style with exposed brickwork, Formica furniture and 1980s–90s music. Among the décor, the café is decorated with novelty cereal boxes, vintage milk bottles and other related memorabilia. The café sells more than 100 different types of global cereal brands, 12 variations of milk and 20 toppings — it also sells coffee, toast and Pop-Tarts. If they can source it, they sell it.

To bring you back to your childhood, stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner in the nostalgic café. Enjoy American cereals like Cap’n Crunch, Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Fruity Pebbles, $4.02 for a small, $4.92 for a medium or $5.83 for a large. If American cereal doesn’t suit your fancy, try British cereal like Coco Pops, Golden Nuggets or Ricicles, $3.37 for a small, $4.02 for a medium or $4.66 for a large. If you still don’t see anything you enjoy, perhaps you’ll find a tasty global cereal like Chokella from France, Milo from Australia or Kariot from Israel, in which case it’s $4.02 for a small, $4.92 for a medium and $5.83 for a large. The semi-skim milk, skim milk and whole milksare free with any bowl, but premium milk like chocolate, banana, hazelnut, peanut butter and more is an additional $.52. Add toppings like Oreos, raisins, walnuts and more for an additional $.78.

Instead of creating your own cereal, try a cereal cocktail like Bananarama for $6.09, which includes banana mini Weetabix, fresh banana, Nutella, foam banana and banana milk, or Honey I Shrunk the Bear for $5.31, which includes honey shreddies, golden grahams, barney bear and honey milk.

It’s more than a bowl of Coco Krispies, it’s an experience.

Going the Distance: Which Airports Have the Longest Walks?
