Nepal is one of the most diverse countries in the world and a semester abroad here could open up a whole new world to students given the opportunity. There are dozens of programs to choose from, but here are a few definitely worth checking out.
Nepal Community Development Service Learning for Groups
This inter-disciplinary course lets students work with local leaders to advance local community development projects while experiencing the area’s rich culture. You’ll help create and implement plans for local business owners, farmers and others who want a sustainable way to ensure a better future.
Dragons Semester & Study Abroad Program
Traditions of the Himalayas allows you to trek to some of the country’s most exotic locales, learn about the history of mysticism and witness firsthand the effort it takes the different communities here to rebuild after devastating earthquakes and other disasters. You’ll participate in homestays and learn how these groups survive while coexisting with such vastly different cultures.
