You have finally planned a big trip and are more excited than ever to pack up and take off to a new land of adventure and exploration. Once your tickets have been booked and your lodging and rental cars are reserved, there is only one remaining question: What should you pack? When this question comes to light, it’s best to rely on the experts. Luckily, well-known travel expert Arthur Frommer (creator of Frommer’s travel guides) developed a supreme packing list that will provide advice and suggestions for almost any packing conundrum.
First, consider how much luggage you are allowed to bring. Are you flying just a few hours away for a long weekend? If so, you may only need a carry-on bag, thus eliminating the need to pay hefty baggage fees. Consult Frommer’s free packing list for suggestions based on trip duration and trip distance. The list begins with clothing and shoes, including items for a variety of situations such as formal dinner events, cold-weather climates and tropical getaways where humidity and scorching temperatures are to be expected.
The list moves on to include accessories such as winter scarves, sun hats and jewelry for both men and women. Toiletries, gadgets, wellness items (such as medications) and important personal documents round out the list before featuring an optional “For Your Kids” section for parents who are bringing along the little ones.
The free packing list is available on Frommers.com and can be downloaded, printed, saved and shared for all your traveling and packing needs, both now and in the future.
