Wouldn’t it be great if we all had our own personal interpreter who spoke dozens of languages and had the time to tag along with us on all of our journeys? It certainly would make currency exchange a lot easier. Well, with Travis the Translator, now you can.
Travis is a fabulous device that contains more than 80 different languages from around the world and is able to translate them in less than two seconds. Of these 80 languages, 20 can be accessed offline for when you have Internet. Since Travis uses artificial intelligence, it’s able to learn and absorb more languages over time.
While it won’t make you fluent in a new language overnight, it’s a great tool for travelers who want to be able to communicate with strangers in a foreign country or want a more immersive experience.
Travis uses dual noise-canceling microphones to clearly receive words and sentences it hears on the street and seamlessly translates them on the spot, so you can engage with anyone. As it grows, there’s no limit to the uses for this nifty device.
Travis retails online for $229, which includes a protective pouch, and the first shipments will be released November 2017. Check out more information on the Indiegogo fundraising page.
