While most travel mugs pride functionality over style, VESU aims to combine both. The ceramic travel mugs are manufactured in Thailand by a family-run business that prides itself on providing good working conditions. There are currently four designs on offer, with distinctive colors that will make you stand out from the crowd.
Designed to be compatible with standard cupholders, the VESU mugs keep hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold. They are sealed with a cork, a unique design feature that could nonetheless cause problems on the road.
It seems strange to market a product as a travel mug when the cork could easily be pulled out in your backpack. If you are only going to use the VESU in your car or at your desk, this wouldn’t be an issue, but a true travel mug needs to have a secure lid that won’t dislodge.
As distinctive as the designs are, it looks as though VESU markets its product to the wrong crowd. Unfortunately, it is hard to recommend the product, but perhaps they could make a good gift for someone.
Each VESU mug will retail for $29 following a Kickstarter campaign. You can find more information on the site.
