Losing your stuff is the best way to ruin any trip, but CabinR developed a solution to one problem. Both the backpack and messenger bag have anti-theft sensors built in, designed to keep your stuff safe in flight. According to the company, more and more people suffer theft while on board aircraft.
If you think about it, there are many opportunities for light-fingered passengers to delve into other peoples’ belongings. Whether you are asleep or otherwise distracted, bags are vulnerable both in overhead bins and under your seat.
Simply activate the system by placing the supplied RFID card in the front of the bag, and sit back safe in the knowledge a loud alarm will go off if someone tries to open it. The system works well on planes but also on buses and trains or in busy markets, where pickpockets often operate.
On the outside, the bags look great, with an understated design that means they blend in. The backpack has a capacity of 30 liters, while the messenger bag holds 15 liters. You can also buy a security blanket alarm system designed to clip onto any bag.
Following a Kickstarter campaign, the messenger bag will retail for $172 and the backpack for $198.
