Central Market

Central Market is known for its impressive seafood offerings, caught fresh from Chile’s coastline. Originally opened in 1872, the market offers plenty of other goods and services, including a restaurant. The market is open daily.

Plaza de Armas

Santiago’s main square features some of the city’s most historic buildings, including the Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral, Central Post Office building and Palacio de la Real Audiencia de Santiago. The city square originally served as a gathering place for locals and still does to this day.

Bellavista

The bohemian neighborhood in Santiago is home to many popular attractions including the former home of Pablo Neruda, La Chascona, art galleries, cafés, shops and nightlife spots.

Santa Lucía Hill

Located in the center of the city, the Santa Lucía Hill is the result of a 15-million-year-old volcano. At more than 700,000 square feet, the hill features a park with fountains, staircases and a viewing deck at the hill’s highest point.

Costanera Center

This skyscraper is the most prominent fixture of Santiago’s skyline. The business and commercial complex is home to a six-floor shopping mall and 360-degree observation deck. The building is the tallest in Latin America.
