British Airways

When flying across the ocean or across Europe, comfort, space and customer service are beyond important. Searching flights can be a hassle, but if British Airways is ever an option, it’s worth selecting.

Nothing is worse than boarding a flight, taking a seat and facing a seat pocket crammed with plastic wrappers and empty water bottles. The documents and magazines in your British Airways pocket will be neatly arranged by size so you don’t have to dig through extraneous material.

The harsh glow of hospital-like lighting in most aircraft can be unbearable upon boarding and even worse after removing your sleeping mask before landing. The more modern planes from British Airways feature cooler lighting in shades of blue and purple to set a calmer atmosphere that feels more like the lobby of a spa than an airplane.

British Airways developed a program called Mindfulness for Travel and introduced the program on some of its longer flights. Videos are played for passengers during take-off, in the middle of the flight and before landing that display relaxation techniques for guests who can use them. Air is also exchanged throughout the cabin every three minutes to avoid the stale environment present on most flights.
