As a kid, summer camp may well have been a yearly highlight, but, as an adult without a summer vacation, those memories are left far behind along with acne and your first crush. Thanks to a company called Camp Yoga, adults can relive their summer camp days with an adult twist.
With nine locations throughout the United States and Canada, Camp Yoga offers its guests activities to bring out their inner child, like ninja training, a ropes course, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, archery, climbing and group runs, as well as adult-friendly activities like yoga, pilates and wine tastings. There is even scheduled nap time!
Each of Camp Yoga’s nine locations will host one weekend of summer camp throughout 2020, starting in Florida March 20–22 and followed by Texas (May 1–3), British Columbia (May 22–24), Alberta (June 12–14), New York (Sept. 11–13), Ontario (Sept. 11–13), Quebec (Sept. 18–20) and California (Oct. 23–25). Normally Camp Yoga also takes place in Colorado, but the location will be taking the year off in 2020. As of Monday, there was no information on Camp Yoga’s website regarding potential cancellations as a result of COVID-19.
Prices for a bunk in a shared cabin start at $424 for a weekend. Other lodging options include a private room/bathrooms for two, or a completely private room for one, both of which increase in price. Prices include seven meals, accommodation, linens, towels, classes and activities, and can be paid in one sum or in installments.
