Lugging heavy, bulky luggage through the airport and through the streets of a new city can be exhausting. But what if your luggage became a vehicle that could transport you to your destination? A new ride-able suitcase has made its way to the travel market and is currently vying for funding on Indiegogo.com.

Travelers who are used to running to make flight connections may have a future of quick transit in some of the world´s biggest airports. Bypass the slow trams and the sweaty sprints between gates by riding your luggage to your next flight!

The Modobag‘s motor runs on a battery and can last for approximately eight miles before a re-charge is required. Side pockets offer easy storage for tablets, mobile devices and important travel documents.

Riders are advised to drive with caution as the maximum indoor speed of the motorized suitcase is 5 mph, and the maximum speed outdoors is 8 mph. The stylish and functional luggage also features two USB ports and GPRS-GSM tracking capabilities.

Retailing at $995, the bag is not cheap, but travelers who are eager and willing to be one of the first owners of this revolutionary and potentially hazardous suitcase will find the price worthwhile.
