Fans of travel and the macabre are in for a treat with one of Netflix’s newest offerings, Dark Tourist.
Dark Tourist is a travel documentary show where the host, journalist David Farrier, takes viewers to some of the darkest travel locations in the world. Some of the topics focus on tribal rituals of animal sacrifices to tours of the spot where John F. Kennedy was assassinated to meet and greets with a Jeffrey Dahmer superfan.
The show’s episodes each focus on a different part of the world. On the show’s first episode, Latin America is the focus. Farrier witnesses an exorcism and participates in a fake border crossing. Throughout the first season, Farrier participates in a voodoo ritual and a World War II reenactment, swims in a lake formed by a nuclear blast and much more.
The show is available to stream and download on Netflix, making it a perfect, binge-worthy show to bring on your next flight.
