Everyone familiar with Philadelphia knows Manayunk is a place for up-and-coming foodies. Nestled off a side street in Manayunk is a gem of a barbecue restaurant known as Deke’s. It’s an old garage renovated to remind you of a neighbor’s backyard BBQ, and the owner treats you as such!
While I was deciding on dinner, the chef actually came out to ask me about my preferences to make sure I ordered exactly what I like. I decided on the pulled pork and a side of mac n’ cheese, and let me tell you, this mac n’ cheese was one of the best things I have ever tasted. Deke’s also has craft beers always rotating on tap and bourbon flights.
If you ever have the pleasure of visiting Manayunk, stop by for some authentic BBQ and awesome atmosphere.
