The DURAN heated base layer provides the perfect way to stay warm without bulking up. The lightweight shirt is able to keep you warm for hours without the need for layers, making it perfect for travelers looking to save space while enjoying chilly climates.
The garment uses high-performance carbon fiber weaved into other materials, making it undetectable by sight or touch. This allows you to gain the warmth without uncomfortable panels poking you in the ribs. The embedded heating system includes five heat zones strategically located throughout your upper body. There are two zones in the chest, two more down near the cuffs of the arms, and one in the back. Using the heat is easy — simply plug in the pre-charged power bank in the shirt’s pocket, press and hold the button control for three seconds, and then toggle between temperature settings until you find the right fit. The DURAN base layer is able to provide up to seven hours of warmth on a full charge.
The shirt boasts three temperature settings — high, medium and low. The high setting reaches a temperature of 115 degrees Fahrenheit for up to 2.5 hours. The medium temperature tops out at 105 degrees for up to 3.5 hours. The low setting provides up to 95 degrees of heat for a full seven hours. The battery inside the shirt takes only one hour to fully recharge when not in use.
The DURAN shirt is made with both antibacterial and anti-static materials and is machine wash safe. It’s set to retail for $149 each, and comes with a portable case, three batteries and a power bank.
