The Filson Rucksack ($290) is made for the outdoors with its anti-rust brass zippers and water-repellent 22-ounce rugged twill material. It is available in colors like black, tan and otter green, and comes with bridle-leather accents and adjustable straps. The carry-on size design features two exterior stow pockets, and one large bellow pocket opening, allowing users to store a great quantity of gear and supplies. Although it features an assortment of fine foreign materials, this product is made in the United States.

 

For a more traditional piece of luggage, there is the Harvey Backpack ($375), available in magnum black, and the Photographers Backpack ($385), available in tan and otter green.

Where can you find the friendliest airport staff? According to Upgraded Points, at Portland International Airport. The travel company’s study focused on the 50 busiest airports, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Upgraded Points then analyzed Google and Yelp reviews for each airport, noting mentions of “friendly” or “rude” staff or TSA. Mentions were compared to the total number of reviews to calculate a ratio of positive to negative interactions, with each airport scored on a scale of 0 to 5 based on the ratio of positive mentions for a possible score of 50.
