For backpack owners, ripped pockets and broken straps and zippers is often the cause of immense frustration. When traveling in a foreign area, the problem can only worsen. However, the century-old clothing and luggage giant Filson offers a rucksack that can take a beating and live to fight another day. With their promise of “unfailing goods,” customers can be assured their purchases will be not only trendy accessories, but also worthwhile investments that will last for years.

A Story of Stubbornness from Filson on Vimeo.

The Filson Rucksack ($290) is made for the outdoors with its anti-rust brass zippers and water-repellent 22-ounce rugged twill material. It is available in colors like black, tan and otter green, and comes with bridle-leather accents and adjustable straps. The carry-on size design features two exterior stow pockets, and one large bellow pocket opening, allowing users to store a great quantity of gear and supplies. Although it features an assortment of fine foreign materials, this product is made in the United States.

For a more traditional piece of luggage, there is the Harvey Backpack ($375), available in magnum black, and the Photographers Backpack ($385), available in tan and otter green.
