For movie buffs or travelers looking to take a unique journey through the 2,000-year-old city, you can explore València through a cinematic lens with the new Movie Map.
València has been the backdrop to 23 films, lending more than 75 of its most beautiful sites to productions. Some of the most famous films and TV shows set in Valéncia are Doctor Who, Westworld and Disney’s Tomorrowland. Three renowned Spanish movies were created in Valéncia: El Reino, Cien Años de Perdón and Dolor y Gloria. Each film used multiple locations to help the movie come to life.
While you can explore the city through different tours or on your own, Movie Map offers a unique chance to discover the city’s legendary sites by stepping into the scenes of your favorite films. The map divides the locations into sectors and then provides the complete address, pictures of the site and some details of all the movies filmed in that location. It also categorizes sites and divides the movies and TV shows filmed in each place, allowing travelers to easily select which sites they want to visit. Sectors include Centre of Valéncia, Ruzafa and Ensanche, City of Arts and Sciences, the Marina and Port of València, and Albufera.
