New York City is a magical place during the holiday season. Grand Central Terminal offers a variety of activities and unique shopping options, making it the destination for holiday fun.

Check out these events:

  • Annual Holiday Fair (Nov. 17–Dec. 24): Open seven days a week (closed on Thanksgiving Day), the fair features handmade products including art, clothing, home goods, bath products and more from 76 artisans and small businesses in the greater New York area. Celebrating its 21st year, the fair is open 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.–7 p.m. on Sunday.
  • New York Transit Museum Holiday Train Show at Grand Central (Nov. 16–Feb. 22, 2015): The model railroad exhibition features trains departing from a miniature Grand Central Terminal. Visitors can view model Lionel trains and vintage Lionel advertisements on display or purchase gifts from the New York Transit Museum store.
  • Grand Central Rewards (Nov. 10–Dec. 19): Shoppers who make purchases in dining and retail stores in Grand Central Terminal can redeem their receipts for limited-edition gifts. Spend $50 for a set of Grand Central coasters; $100 for a set of Grand Central mugs; or $150 for a Grand Central fleece blanket.
  • Grand Central Audio or Guided Tours: Self-paced audio tours are available daily, from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. in local (one hour) or express (30 minute) versions. At $9 for adults and $7 for seniors, military members, students and children, look for GCT Tour windows throughout the Main Concourse. The 75-minute guided tour departs daily at 12:30 p.m. from the Main Concourse. Tickets cost $20 for adults and $15 for seniors, military members, students and children.
