Have you ever dreamt about winning a contest with the prize of a weekend trip? Everything is already planned and all you need to do is show up — wouldn’t that be nice? Well, check out Pack Up and Go!

Don’t spend time choosing the right destination, finding the best prices for accommodations and flights or worrying about an active itinerary. Let Pack Up and Go do all of the work so you can enjoy your vacation. The catch? You won’t find out your destination until your departure.

Those who turn to Pack Up and Go to plan their upcoming adventure avoid all of the pre-planning hassle. A small team of experts plans three-day weekend trips based in the United States. All you need to do is fill out a quick survey with your likes, dislikes, dream destinations and budget. The service then takes care of all of the moving parts, while keeping the destination a surprise.

Founder Lillian Rafson and a small team curate excursions based on a traveler’s home city, budget, travel dates and interests. The convenience comes at a cost between $350–2,000, which covers transportation, lodging and planning.

First, you decide if you want to travel to one destination or a weekend road trip. The road trip option promises a destination within three to four hours of your departure location, starting at $350 per person while the plane, train or bus offer starts at $450 per person. Next, choose a budget — the more money you’re willing to cough up, the more high end your accommodations and itinerary will be. Then comes the survey, helping agents plan a trip that fits your personality. Customers provide information on travel preferences, hobbies, travel history and upcoming planned trips. Once you’ve checked out, the service begins.

A week before you leave, an email arrives containing the weather forecast for your mystery destination, suggested packing, luggage size restrictions and where to go and when. You’ll also receive an email revealing your destination, directions to your accommodation and sample itineraries.

The element of surprise takes your trip to another level.
