You may think of Wyoming as a summertime destination, but there’s actually a lot you can do there in March and April. While most of the world thinks of these months as spring or very close to it, these are the state’s snowiest months, meaning wintertime fun still abounds.
Here’s what to do if you visit Wyoming in the next month or two:
Ski and Snowmobile
Take advantage of all that snow with spring skiing through early April. You can find great deals on lift tickets during the spring months, as demand isn’t quite as high as it is in the winter. There are plenty of options around Jackson Hole, in Casper and in the Bighorn Mountains.
If you’re not keen on skiing, snowmobiling in the Wyoming Range treats you to more than 300 miles of trails open for snowmobiling until May.
Take a Dip
Soak your worries away surrounded by snow at one of the state’s hot springs. At Thermopolis’ Hot Springs State Park, you can enjoy free indoor and outdoor hot spring access.
Stay Inside
While the great outdoors is arguably one of the best reasons to visit Wyoming, if you’re still a little chilly and want to stay inside, you’ll still find lots of springtime indoor fun to be had. Snow King Resort just opened a new spa, the largest in Jackson. You can also visit a range of museums and restaurants throughout popular destinations like Cheyenne, Casper and others.
