When a New Year rolls around everyone makes a list of resolutions and things they want to work on for the New Year. Some people try to adapt the saying “New Year, new me.” Although everyone sets these resolutions and swears they are going to stick to them, they end up dropping them halfway through January. This year make it a point to stick to your resolutions by following these helpful tips.
Starting off slow could be helpful. Start with a couple small realistic resolutions. If one of your resolutions is to work out more, start with going to the gym two or three days a week. Once you get in the swing of things you can start to add to your goal. Sometimes it’s hard to completely change your lifestyle all at once.
If you are nervous about not sticking to your resolutions, try finding a buddy that has the same resolutions. If you have a friend doing the same thing, you guys can motivate each to stick to it. You can also brainstorm creative ways to make your resolutions more exciting so you won’t get bored of them and break them.
Another way to make sure you stick to your resolutions is to reward yourself at the end of each week or month. If you set a reward system then it will give you something to look forward to after working hard to obtain your goal.
