Are you craving some high-quality shut-eye? If you need a vacation where relaxation is the name of the game, you might want to dip a toe into the new trend of sleep tourism.
According to Travel Lingual, sleep tourism is on the rise as wellness travel likewise takes center stage, and hotels are continuously catering to travelers’ sleep needs. Travel Lingual founder James Smith pointed to several hotels offering new sleep amenities as an example.
For starters, Park Hyatt New York offers a sleep suite equipped with an AI-powered Bryte bed that helps optimize sleeping temperatures, among other sleep-related amenities.
The Cadogan, a Belmond Hotel in London offers a sleep concierge service, providing consultations and similar services to help guests who aren’t satisfied with just the hotel’s pillow menu alone.

Other hotels may not offer dedicated sleep suites or sleep concierges, but they do host sleep-focused wellness retreats.
Smith said, “Over the past years we have seen the growth of wellness offerings for travelers, it is only natural that this should extend to sleep too.”
A 2022 report from CNN further explored the rise of sleep tourism, partially crediting the COVID-19 pandemic for drawing travelers’ attention to their sleep habits while on the go.
Whatever the case may be, if you’re looking to snooze a little bit more during your next trip, you’ll certainly be able to, so long as you pick the right hotel.
