What could be tastier than a museum dedicated to food? Chicago’s Foodseum recently opened to bring you the inside scoop on everything we love to eat.
This free museum offers a delicious tour of anything and everything edible. Their first exhibit is a tribute to the hot dog. The exhibit takes a comprehensive look at the hot dog and also explores the history of “encased meat.” This exhibit is as fun as it is informative and may make you reconsider your next hot dog.
If that description wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, know this. All exhibits are interactive — there is always something to see, learn, touch and taste at this free museum. They also welcome volunteers with free food and a chance to make someone’s meal and day.
According to their website, the museum’s mission is to further the art of cooking and “continue to grow this awakening by creating a central location for anyone to learn about, celebrate and be inspired by food.T hroughout each experience we want to share some of our favorite reasons we love food.”
This Kickstarter-funded tribute to food is a sure stop on any foodie’s list. After all, we’ve all got to eat.
