Massanutten Resort is one of the largest ski resorts on the East Coast and offers 6,000 acres of land to ski and explore. In addition, it features a wide array of amenities that’ll keep you busy for weeks. Having grown up nearby and having visited numerous times, I can safely say there are few resorts as fun as this one.
The resort boasts 14 runs for skiers spread out over 70 acres. My favorite thing about Massanutten is the skiing here is accessible to everyone; there are plenty of advanced runs and beginner. If you’re not into skiing, the resort is also famous for its snowtubing and ice skating in the winter.
During the summer months, the resort opens up its famous waterparks. The indoor and outdoor parks features body slides, a floating river and some indoor surfing to help you practice for your trip to the beach. Of course, there’s plenty of golfing to enjoy outside as well. Massanutten Resort rests in the middle of the Shenandoah Valley, arguably one of the most stunning regions in the country. The entire resort is surrounded by rolling hills and miles of trails to hike and bike. On site, you’ll also find three restaurants, all with delicious menus, along with a great arcade area that’s fit for both kids and adults.
Massanutten Resort was one of my favorite destinations when I was a child, and it still offers tons of fun for me as an adult. It’s the perfect place for a weekend getaway or family vacation. Check out the website to see everything it has to offer.
