A new Moxy property claims status as the northernmost property within the entire Marriott international portfolio. Moxy Tromsø, opened in June, sits among the Arctic landscapes of northern Norway.

“Moxy is known for its young-at-heart spirit and Tromsø is an incredible destination for our fun-hunters to add to their bucket list, with a different stay and experience for each season,” said Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, vice president of premium and select brands, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Marriott International.
The property offers more than 200 guestrooms, all with a sleek, industrial aesthetic. The surrounding landscape’s breathtaking views are on display throughout the hotel, from guestrooms to the 11th-floor’s rooftop terrace to Sky Bar Moxy to the front desk. Beyond providing just great views, Sky Bar Moxy also offers welcome cocktails to each guest, social programming for both guests and locals, and a range of locally inspired libations.

During their stays, guests at Moxy Tromsø can enjoy the city’s northern lights in the winter or 24-hour sunlight in the summer. Wildlife viewing, fjord cruises and skiing are also popular activities.
“Moxy Tromsø is an exciting new destination for all travelers and Marriott Bonvoy members, and we are very proud of this new addition to our portfolio,” said Per Denker Sørensen, CEO, Core Hospitality. “The opening of Moxy Hotels in Tromsø marks the entrance of an international lifestyle hotel brand in the marketplace. We are confident that our Sky Bar Moxy, offering stunning views of the fjord and hopefully northern lights during winter, will be a new social destination among travelers and locals alike.”
