Qatar Tourism Events Leading to the World Cup

Qatar will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup and, ahead of the popular sporting event in November, the country introduces new tourism attractions.

Winter Wonderland

Doha Winter Wonderland is set to launch later this year. Set on more than 650,000 square feet, the attraction features seafront chalets, restaurants, games and dozens of rides. The attraction comes from the same company that manages the sister Winter Wonderland event at London’s Hyde Park.

Located an hour drive outside of Doha, Fuwairit Kite Beach will debut later this year. The beach resort offers excellent kitesurfing conditions due to the ideal ocean water, wind and soft sand. The resort will also feature a yoga studio, gym, restaurants, pool and more.

 

The outpost

The Outpost Al Barari is the first resort of its kind in Qatar, offering unique nature experiences and sustainability with luxury hospitality. Located in the Inland Sea nature preserve, the resort boasts 21 luxury lodges with private pools, as well as stargazing, hot-air ballooning and other immersive experiences.

Qetaifan Island North is considered the first “entertainment island” in Qatar. It will feature floating hotels, beach clubs and a water park with 36 rides. The island’s close proximity to Lusail Stadium is ideal for travelers attending the World Cup.

 

West Bay

West Bay North Beach is a new tourism development being constructed on more than 130,000 square feet along the beach in Doha. It will offer public and private beach areas as well as three distinct beach experiences and a variety of food and beverage offerings.
