The fishing village of Portofino is among the most well known in the Italian Riviera, boasting idyllic harbors filled with colorful boats and surrounded by boutiques, quaint inns and restaurants. While visiting, try the local Tintoretto cocktail, made from pomegranate and Spumante; enjoy the local cuisine; and lounge on the pristine beaches.

Trends / Food & Drink

The dramatic rise of speakeasies across America in recent years is proof most people get a thrill out of feeling like they are somewhere “exclusive.” These restaurants around the world play off that same theme and set up shop in hidden places.

Cow by Bear

This speakeasy-esque restaurant in San Diego serves a delicious five-course meal paired with lots of booze over a 14-seat communal dinner table. The kicker? The chef remains anonymous inside a large bear suit. Cow by Bear operates out of several undisclosed locations and guests are emailed the address only one day before the dinner begins. You’ll spend the night snapping pictures on a Polaroid camera, laughing with new friends around the table and sipping fine wine over mouth-watering, steakhouse-inspired dishes. Dinners take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. for $195 per person.

El Papyguago

El Papagayo Restaurant is an elegant, tasteful restaurant hidden in a converted back alley of Cordoba, Argentina. You may even miss the small entryway walking along the street the first time. Once inside, you’ll see the modern restaurant is decorated with simple, clean touches and a standout hanging art piece. This lunch and dinner gem is well-known as one of the best in the city. They serve three- and 11-course tasting menus with an optional wine pairing.

Safe House

If you’re going for something really wacky, check out the Safe House in Milwaukee. Inspired by spy films, the adventure begins before you even find the entrance. A man in black will open an unmarked door and ask for the password before leading you to a real-life KGB prison for your dinner.

Amazon Fire TV Sticks Allow for Streaming Multiple Services
