Luggage companies always search for ways to improve products, but the basic format of luggage hasn’t changed much in years.
The team behind RetraStrap developed a product that works with your existing luggage, but fundamentally changes the way you carry it. Essentially, RetraStrap is an extra strap that attaches your luggage to you so you can drag a wheeled suitcase along hands free.
This means you can use your hands for other tasks, improving security by making sure you can’t lose your bag. There are also benefits to pulling your luggage from the waist, which feels lighter than using your hands.
To use it, wear the RetraStrap across your body and attach it to the handle of your suitcase. Adjust to fit and start walking, secure in the knowledge your luggage will follow you along. It’s great for when you have multiple bags or you’re dealing with documents.
If you need to carry bulky items, such as sports equipment, having your hands free could be a real bonus. It looks like the RetraStrap will be worth a try.
The RetraStrap will retail for $34.99 after raising funds on Kickstarter. It is estimated for delivery in May 2018.
