As the autumn leaves start to fall and candy corn monopolizes the shelves of all stores, it can only mean one thing: Halloween is just around the corner. Get into the haunting spirit by visiting one of these scary attractions ,but be warned, these frights are not for the faint of heart.
Howl-O-Scream, Busch Gardens
One of the more tame attractions on this list includes admission to the Busch Gardens theme park that has been transformed from a family-friendly amusement park to an interactive scarefest with zombie-hunting games and live cast members dressed to the Halloween nines. The lights on the rides are turned off so guests can experience thrills in the dark.
Eastern State Penitentiary, Pennsylvania
Located in Philadelphia, this former prison is sure to spook thanks to its abandoned cells, cobwebs and ultimate interactive experience. As you travel through the prison with a group, one of you may be captured and taken away from your group to become part of the attraction. Scare factor? High.

Dent Schoolhouse, Ohio
Once an actual schoolhouse, the building now serves solely to scare, feeding off the rumor that one of the school’s janitors went insane and murdered some of the students. Proceed through the hallways and classrooms with caution as the ghosts of the children roam freely.
Hobb’s Grove, California
A collection of attractions features a haunted forest with a graveyard, an enchanted manor with ghosts of residents past and a creepy hayride through the darkened woods.
