Unlike sleeping in a hotel room, maintaining a comfortable temperature inside of a tent has always been impossible — until now. The Siesta4 is the world’s first heat- and light- blocking tent to hit the market.

The tent is made of ultra-reflective fabric that blocks both light and heat from entering while also maintaining enough integrity and strength to protect you from wind and water. Hooded roof vents allow warm air to escape through the top while fan intake vents create cross-ventilation. When the doors are closed, the 8-inch USB fans help keep the tent cool on a hot day.

Bonuses include closeable mesh to keep out dirt and sand along with two adjustable doors and a full-length waterproof fly. Inside you’ll find a lantern loop along with 16 other hanging loops for your clothes and other equipment, space for power cords and a storm-proof floor.

Each Siesta4 holds up to four people with 64 square feet of moving space and five feet of height. At 17 pounds, it’s a little on the hefty side but still manageable on long trips. For avid travelers who spend their nights outdoors, there’s no better tent currently on the market.

The tent, designed by Outback Logic, is available now for pre-order on Kickstarter.
