For campers, selecting a decent sleeping bag can be a difficult task. It’s important to take into consideration the size, thickness and comfort of the cocoon in which you will be sleeping while braving the great outdoors. But in the case you’re a new camper or one not willing to sacrifice comfort for Mother Nature, you may also want to invest in a sleeping pad.
Sleeping pads can be placed under sleeping bags and offer an extra layer of comfort between the body and the cold, hard ground. For those not willing to scrimp on camping gear, the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir pad is one sleeping pad to consider.
The NeoAir sleeping pad boasts functionality in all seasons, with a thickness of 2.5 inches and a weight starting at 1.7 pounds for the regular (smallest) size. Equipped with a SpeedValve inflation system, a camper is able to inflate the mattress using his own breath while drawing in air from around him, as well. The pad is also outfitted with ThermaCapture layers that reflect body heat and help the surface stay warm.
