Amp up your wardrobe on your next romantic getaway or impress your friends on a girls’ vacation with Rent the Runway, offering travelers the opportunity to dress like a star on vacation without breaking the bank.
Rent the Runway is an online market for designer dresses to rent for a handful of days and then return for a fraction of the retail price. You can choose from thousands of dresses online, with most renting for $75–250.
After specifying your delivery date and size, you can filter your results by length, designer, trends and body type. When you’re ready to reserve your choice, you can opt to rent for four to eight days and get a free back-up size. You can also choose to rent additional dresses for $32.50. Your choices are then delivered via UPS or courier service to your home, office or hotel by 8 p.m. on your specified delivery day.
Following your rental period, you then return the dress for free by placing items in the provided pre-paid envelope and dropping it off at a UPS drop box or scheduling a pick-up by 12 p.m. on your rental return date.
You can even rent accessories, such as bracelets, rings, necklaces, earrings and purses, for rates as low as $5.
Rent the Runway also operates stores, offering customers the chance to come in, work with a personal stylist and try dresses on before renting. Guests can leave with a dress same day and reserve styles for future events. The company offers two locations in New York, one in Washington, D.C., and one in Las Vegas.
