Philadelphia is an amazing city with so much to offer. Every now and again, I make a point to visit for a long weekend. A must stop is the infamous Franklin Fountain. I agree with contributor Matt Rimer’s review about this Philadelphia institution.
Its homemade ice cream is to die for. They have flavors such as pistachio, peanut butter, maple walnut, coffee, Rocky Road and, of course, the classics of chocolate and vanilla. The ice cream list goes on and on, and you can also get cones, sundaes, splits, soda, ice cream sodas, egg creams and milkshakes.

The ice cream isn’t the only amazing thing; the interior of The Franklin Fountain has great aesthetic appeal too. The vintage decor and the old-time feeling you get while being there is fun for everyone. It is definitely a place I would recommend if you are looking for delicious ice cream and a good time — a local of the area or a visitor!
