Starting Sept. 14 and running through Oct. 1, ArtPrize takes over Grand Rapids, Michigan, with an array of interactive experiences sure to delight anyone with an eye for art, no matter their favorite medium.
During this year’s event, more than 800 artists representing 15 countries and 30 states display nearly 650 art installations across more than 150 venues. Artwork ranges from ceramics to sculpture, paintings to photography. Installations will also appear in parks and bars, museums and hotels. Throughout the two weeks, there will also be a myriad of smaller events to celebrate the multitude of artwork and the artists behind it all.
Part of the fun of visiting Grand Rapids during the event is casting your vote for your favorite pieces and installations. Just register as a visitor on the event’s website and then, during the event, cast your vote online.
“ArtPrize spotlights some of the world’s most gifted artists, offering them a place to feel supported [and] celebrated,” said Catlin Whitington, executive director, ArtPrize. “This event is truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity to witness remarkable work from across the globe, where you will see, experience and live with art at every turn.”
