What’s New in Shreveport-Bossier City, Louisiana, in 2023

Shreveport-Bossier City, Louisiana, offers travelers plenty of fun events and activities for 2023. Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau plans to unveil a new brand appealing to both locals and tourists, along with a 10-year destination master plan for the region.

 

Here are highlights coming in 2023:

 

Hotel Upgrades

Hilton Shreveport, connected to the convention center, begins renovations of its meeting spaces in 2023. The renovation also includes updating furnishings, the front entrance and pool area. Hilton Garden Inn Shreveport Bossier City and Homewood Suites by Hilton will both undergo total renovations in 2023, including guestrooms, common areas and meeting spaces.

 

New attractions

The Sci-Port Discovery Center recently added an IMAX Dome. The 4-K laser-projection system offers an immersive movie-going experience for guests. Head to Louisiana Downs for a variety of entertainment options. The on-site Inside Rail Sportsbook Bar & Grill features a new menu, including dishes with a Creole spin. Louisiana Downs hosts the 2023 Balloon Rally this summer. Visit Shreveport Aquarium in March for the Paddlefish Festival. In April, the aquarium hosts a Party for the Planet, where guests can have breakfast with a mermaid. Visit the East Bank District. This ever-expanding entertainment district offers events, unique dining outlets, games and other attractions.
