Dream of seeing your favorite NFL team play this season, complete with an awesome pre-game tailgate, but aren’t quite sure you can swing the cost of the trip? A new study from Oddspedia looked at NFL stadiums and their surrounding destinations to help identify where you should go to catch a game and tailgate for the lowest prices.
The study looked at the cost of groceries in each NFL city (including costs for typical tailgate foods, ranging from burgers and wings to beer), as well as the costs of parking at stadiums and at nearby venues. The result?
The most affordable NFL tailgating destination is State Farm Stadium, where you can watch the Arizona Cardinals play for a tailgating cost, including food and drinks for four and parking, at just $158.07. Other most-affordable destinations included Atlanta Falcons’ Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Raymond James Stadium, Carolina Panthers’ Bank of America Stadium and Kansas City Chiefs’ GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
As for where you can, in contrast, expect to spend a pretty penny? The top three most expensive NFL tailgating destinations, as determined by Oddspedia’s study, are San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium, Los Angeles Rams and Chargers’ SoFi Stadium and Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium.
