The list of the World’s 50 Best Beaches of 2025 was recently released, highlighting the best coastlines and beaches around the world as judged by more than 1,000 of the world’s leading travel professionals and influencers, as well as a panel of judges.
The best beach of 2025?
Cala Goloritze takes the top spot thanks to its dramatic, 470-foot limestone pinnacle; clear waters; protective barrier keeping the beach free from boat traffic; restricted number of tickets sold daily to hikers accessing the beach; and more. Waters are particularly calm June–October.
2. Entalula Beach, Philippines
Coming in second is Entalulu Beach. With its striking limestone cliffs, vibrant coral reefs to spot when swimming and snorkeling, and accessibility only by boat, this intimate and quiet beach is ideal for relaxing and appreciating nature. Note: Typhoon season runs June–October, so beware of the risk during this time.
Framed by lush jungle and clear, shallow waters, this swimming-friendly beach is a laid-back gem. The beach is also located near a fishing village, where travelers can walk along a wooden pier and taste fresh seafood at local restaurants.
Isolated and majestic, Fteri Beach is surrounded by dramatic white cliffs. Accessible mainly by boat or via a hike down a steep trail, this secluded beach features a stretch of beach with white pebbles mixed with sand, a striking contrast to the turquoise waters.
5. PK 9 Beach, French Polynesia
Within Fakarava, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, this beach is untouched by commercial development. Explore coral reefs teeming with stingrays and tropical fish, or wade through shallow clear water to see marine life at your feet.
Only one U.S. beach made the list: Siesta Beach in the Florida Keys. This beach’s powdery white sand is made up of 99 percent pure quartz from the Appalachian Mountains, which remains cool even in the middle of summer. Its gentle slope and calm waters are perfect for swimming and wading.

Each vote reflected real, on-the-ground experiences at each location, calculating factors like unique characteristics, wildlife, untouched nature, natural soundtrack, ease of water entry, frequency of calm conditions, lack of overcrowding and consistency of idyllic settings.
