The cozy, laid-back retreat includes accommodation options like rooms in the main lodge, stand-alone cabins and an auxiliary property called Seacrest House with more rooms. At Seacrest, the rooms face the ocean with patios and balconies that open onto the view.

Nearby, a large campground can accommodate tents and campers. Anyone traveling with a pet should choose a cabin, as all are pet-friendly.

The lodge serves as a great jumping-off point for exploring the beach and tide pools, hiking nearby trails and visiting top spots like the Hoh Rainforest.

Kalaloch Lodge also has a restaurant on site called Creekside, where locally-sourced meals are served with a side of a view of the Pacific Ocean. The prices can be a little high, given there’s no competition nearby, but the food is generally worth the price tag.

The lodge has sketchy cell service and no WiFi, so be prepared to go off the grid here. Chances are, as you watch the sunset, build a bonfire and collect sea glass, you won’t mind going offline.
